My pursuit of happiness

Playing games

They just played Bjørn Eidsvåg on the radio. Hah. Other people than me from Sauda obviously made it all the way down here too.

Yesterday I woke up early because my sleeping bag during my sleep had crept up for an ambush and was trying to strangle me.
I got up and made some pancakes for breakfast.
And then I went out running to clear my conscience.

River

I always overestimate my own ability to locate myself, and yesterday was no exception. I followed a big road for some kilometers, and then turned east to find the beach. Hah.
I did find the beach. And later I found out I ran 6 km extra in vain to get there, because there is one just down the street. Good training though.

What I suppose are really expensive houses near the beach in the typical VERY gray weather

On my way back I completely lost my sense of directions, and spent 20 minutes finding Bjørn's place again.

See the guy in red jacket? The post man! On bike:D
Charming

After shower and lunch and being lazy, we went down to the nearby beach to have a walk.
Cold.
Crane-dinosaurs in Århus

Very popular in the summer, this beach.
Not in winter

No, this is not take on Greenland..
Iceflakes drifting ashore in Denmark. Climate change, feeling good?

Big brother is not watching you.
He's walking unworriedly into the massive gray-ness.
XXXXX

But an extremely cute little puppy fell in love with me on the way back, and preferred following me instead of the owner, so it was worth it.
I want a dog too.
But a big one I can have in my bed and hug while I sleep.

Lars, Bjørn's neighbour, joined us for dinner, and we took the train to Århus to eat in a Turkish restaurant.
I found out that buffet is quite a challenge. Because what's the point if you don't take advantage of the offer? It was a hard match, and I only managed one plate and some extra salads, so next time, I'll prepare myself and my stomach better.

Turkish food. Which means for example pasta, boiled potatoes and meatballs

We were sitting there, talking, filled to the breaking point, and Bjørn says "oh, there's a train leaving in 7 minutes, and if we lose that, we have to wait another hour."
We caught the train in time.
Note to self: Do not run, and at least not in high heels, less than one hour after buffet dinners.

When we came back, Bjørn showed Lars (and me) his old collection of dice, because Lars is above average interested in games (at least my impression).

ABBA: "The gods have thrown the dice...". Wonder what kind they would've picked

Weird thing to collect, but not everyone can say "I have a 100-dice".

Bjørn showed him the dice, Lars showed us an amazing word game.
I laughed and laughed.
Hilarious if you understand Danish. I thought, at least.
You're supposed to read the hints one by one and the other will try to guess the right word.

And won, easily.

I'm the red one. Superiority. Hoho!

Bjørn is a nocturnal creature, and being jet lag didn't make him want to sleep more, even though it was getting late.
Me, sleeping on the floor, stayed on the computer until we started talking, and we were far into the hours of today before we went to sleep to a sleeping sound-app Bjørn has on his iPod, which worked extraordinarily well.

It was pain to wake up at half past ten.
But breakfast helped.

No, it's not in black/white

We took the bikes out to a lake some km away, and went for a walk, looking for birds on winter vacation, but they seemed to have chosen a hotter destination. I don't blame them at all; the wind froze my cheeks and nose so I couldn't talk in the end.
Now I look like I've been out in the sun all day. I'm faking that there's no clouds in Denmark.

Not where I would take my kids walking, with an ice that within ten meters have three different types of surface..

The stone age hasn't passed in Denmark yet

Just laying on an aurochs

We had a nice afternoon overtaking the world's stock market, trying to get rich in a kind of upgraded version of Monopoly; Multi National.
Complicated, but fun.
And one of the longest games I've played.
We had a three hour break where Bjørn, Lars and me respectively went to African dance, sleep and running, but all in all, we played it for more than 5 hours. AND I LOST. What a terrible waste of time!

It's not every day that you get to own the United States.
The only thing I got, was a destroyed moral, because this wonderful, supercapitalistic game requires reprehensible attitudes towards fellow human beings to have success. (For example you get an option where you can choose to give money to African children or not, and if you choose option "I don't care at all about them and don't want to support this case", you are most likely to gain a lot of money. Fascinating)

Multi National. Capitalistic, corrupt and politically incorrect.

We just finished both this and the word game "På sporet af ordet" - on track of the word. But I was too sleepy to win the word game, and I didn't continue my brilliance from yesterday.

Now I SHOULD GET SOME SLEEP.
I have some hard days in front of me, and I have a  feeling I won't be completely reposed until the end of the Easter holiday.
But I enjoy it. I don't have time for sleeping these days, because so much fun is going on.

I am getting ready for going to Germany on Saturday/Sunday (night bus) and I can't wait to see Nadine and go to München with her and all!
Waaah:D

God nat(t), buona notte, boa noite, nightynight!
