My pursuit of happiness

Lately

Wow.
It's been a while now!
Somehow I felt that because I wasn't on any big trip, there was no need for blogging, but in fact, there has happened quite a lot since I returned from my two month's Euro Trip.

Actually, I didn't really return home. I came home, went away, came back, went away, etc, for some weeks.

For example:

I went to London with my parents and my brother.
This was actually the gift from my parents to my 19th birthday last summer, to go and see "The Lion King"- musical.
Pretty nice life, oh yes.

Thursday to Sunday as tourists, walking in parks, visiting museums, going to the theatre and drinking English beer in real, British pubs.

Flowers in a park

London, baby

The reason for the trip. "The Lion King". As one of few things, it left me speechless for the rest of the night.
Goosebumps.
(No, not allowed to take photos during show, unfortunately.)

After getting my snobby British accent renewed after four days in London, we came back to Sauda.
For three days.
Because then the Easter Holiday started, and no need to hang around at home when you can travel, right?
Next stop; aunt and uncle in Sweden.

Spring.
No words can describe the feeling after six months of snow and cold. It seems that only Scandinavians are able to really valorise the blessing of sun and nice weather.

Aahh. This is Easter to me.
Sun, blue skies, that lovely, little red house for some lazy days.

My uncle is the best chef in the world.
And the house is adorable. Ah.

Easter means traditions. Painted eggs, fit for fight.

Call it strange to roll eggs on the kitchen floor until they fall apart, to gain points by bumping into the others.
I love it.

Then I came back.

No, wait.
I had to go to Oslo to receive my litterature price.
Hard life:)

Me and the other two winners. I have a very vivid mimic, especially during speeches.

Happy winner of Fristhiov Oos' price. What an honour!

Happy girls with the language elite of Norway.

Okay, after that, I actually stayed in Sauda for some weeks, working.
Then it was the national day, the 17th of May:

The only day of the year where big and small, young or old get out in the streets in their national costumes, no matter how bad the weather is, to march for ages.
Traditions!

Then, for the money I won in Oslo, I was stupid enough to buy an iPhone 4, and kill the last trace of healthy, social life I had.

But it takes good pictures!

Rainy spring

And because of my literary merits, I am getting famous in this area. And thus I got an extra job in "Bondevennen", a farmers magasine.
I don't know anything about agriculture or farming politics, but somehow I survive.

Check out the name of the journalist. Oh yes.

I was actually planning on writing about my trip to Portugal today too, but that will be a bit too much in one post, so I'll save it for a day or two.
You know, more than one month in the same place is a waste of my precious, irresponsible life, so I figured out I needed 18 days in my other home, Portugal.
That was NICE.

I'll show and tell you soon!
Stay tuned.
